FAQ
How do I find my Chinese zodiac sign?
Your sign is set by your birth year on a repeating 12-year cycle of animals. Enter your birth year above to get your animal and its element (one of Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water), which together repeat on a 60-year cycle.
What if I was born in January or February?
The Chinese new year falls between late January and mid-February, not on January 1. If you were born before that year's new-year date, your zodiac animal is the previous year's. Check the exact date for your birth year to be sure.
What are the five elements?
Each animal year also carries an element — Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal or Water — based on the year's last digit. The element adds nuance, so a Wood Tiger and a Fire Tiger are read slightly differently.
Based on the traditional sexagenary (60-year) cycle. For reflection and entertainment.
